The Kunsthaus Graz – also known as The Friendly Alien – is a new architectural landmark in Graz. Built by the two British architects Peter Cook and Colin Fournier from Spacelab, it represents the highlight of the Graz 2003 Art Festival, in which the city became the cultural capital of Europe. Its unique biomorphic surface is used as a large light installation at night.
