| although the neil curtis homepage
from 1999 has won prizes for its design, neil curtis has decided to develope a completely
new home/base design for his web-presence. |
the
design of the page is part of the new "look" of neil curtis work. not only
flyers and posters will follow this design guidlines, but also postcards, calendars and
even his exhibitions will follow the same united "look". a major part of this
look is a black background and a tv tube shaped shape for pictures. this shall understrike
his multimedial touch in his work and fits to the concept of exhibiting in the internet
(www.neilcurtis.com), on TV (wptv: nighTV) and in the real world (like his "tribal
tribute" exhibition). another important part of the new look is the new neil curtis
logo. it consists of the characters "N" and "C" and it's round shape
reminds of a horseshoe—a symbol for luck.
by the way: it is not a mistake that all of the words on
this website are written in lowercase! because it's common to write like that for fast
internet communication like in e-mail or chats, I have decided to also use that way of
writing on this site. the internet is part of neil curtis' work, and therefore it is just
logical to also adapt neil curtis to the rules of the internet as well.
