| as part of an exhibition about viewers of the regenbogenparade 1998, neil curtis was invited to participate in an photo-exhibition in the cafe berg. |
"we don't want to show the parade, we want to show the opposite!" say
sebastian menschhorn, the organizer of the exhibition "parade - die zuschauer"
(parade - the spectators) and exhibits the work of four viennese artists in the galery
room of cafe berg: fabian dierig, anita-daniela krappel, margarete neundinger and neil
curtis take a closer look to everyone who watched the parade in 1998. as part of a
concept, neil curtis colored 90 percent of his photographs in pink, the remaining 10
percent are colored in blue: "I wanted to show that at this parade most people are
gay, and the 10 percent straights are minority" says neil curtis. the exhibition was
shown from 18th of june till 15th of july 1999.
