OIIP (Austrian Institute for International Affairs) stands for Österreichisches Institut für Internationale Politik. For their redesign I used a very basic system of gray pattern and a red/black word logo. The two red vertical lines of the logo represent the austrian flag. The new corporate style was not only used for their brochure and business cards, but also on covers of their publications, folders and website.

Title covers are based on the same pattern, a grey mixture of layers with numbers, waves and
abstract elements. They symbolize the variety of the topics covered by the institute

A Book cover: instead of the grey pattern a real photograph was used

The idea of the logo was to create the most logical and reduced shape as possible. The result was a nearly geometrical word logo with two long red lines in the middle. They not only worked as an eye catcher and represented the short version of the institute, but are also a reminder of the Austrian red-white-red flag.
